Who I am...
A optical scientist, a yoga enthusiast, a cyclist, and a food & wine lover. I recently completed my PhD in Optics at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, and am now an analyst for Open Photonics, Inc pursuing my passion for accelerating technology commercialization. In addition to my work in technology, I sit as a member of OSA, the Optical Society's Public Policy Committee and represent OSA in efforts to nucleate a National Photonics Initiative.
Why this site exists...
I am most interested in the ways in which science can have an impact on society in the near term. So, in an attempt to spur discussion about issues both serious and esoteric, I hope this blog-cluster will stand as a place for me to post my thoughts and welcome commentary. I'll focus in four areas:
Technology Transfer - Education - Public Policy - Life
